The service will be published on this page of our website at 8:15am.

This service will play on faclex.tv at our usual service times of 8:15, 9:30, 11:00am, and 12:30pm. It will also be available on our YouTube page to view anytime starting at 8:15am.

Classic Christmas Celebration

Sunday, December 14 at 6:00pm

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! FAC Kids and the Intergenerational Ministry invite you to celebrate with us at the Classic Christmas Celebration.

Come ready to carol, hear stories and songs from members of our church family, and spend time reminding ourselves why Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Like last year, some of our kids will form the cutest choir you ever did see! Afterwards we will enjoy refreshments in the Atrium.

The Classic Christmas Celebration is an informal, family-focused, joy-filled night. Everyone, young, old, and those somewhere in between will find themselves joining in the wonder of the Christmas season.

Nursery services for ages 2 and under will be available.

Christmas Meals for Local Partners

Thank you for saying yes to providing 25 Christmas meals for families through our local partners Wellington Elementary and YoungLives. You will receive a shopping list and further instructions after signing up. We are grateful for your generosity and participation this holiday season!

Expected cost for meals is $60-70 for families of 4-6 and $65-75 for families of 7-8.

Amachi Angel Tree Wish Lists

Our partner Amachi has invited us to help them serve our community this year by providing gifts to their families. Please pick someone to provide gifts for, and you will receive their wish list after signing up. All items should be new and unwrapped. If you have any questions please contact Pastor Tyrone Vinegar.

Russell Cave Church of Christ Building Repair

One of the needs we would like to help with this Christmas season is to provide financial support to Russell Cave Church of Christ, a long time ministry partner of FAC, to help with repairs to their building. Your gift to the Community Partnerships Fund will be used for this and other needs for our local partners as determined by FAC’s OUT Committee.

Advent Guide

We are excited to provide you an at-home Advent guide this year. This guide is designed to help you dig deeper into the themes and stories discussed in our Sunday messages.

Each week contains a Sunday reflection that goes along with the candle lighting for the week. We will light the candles in our services each Sunday; you are welcome to do the same in your home. There are then 6 daily reflections. The devotionals tie in not only to the Sunday message but also to the Advent theme of that week.

There will be limited copies available in the Atrium starting Sunday, November 23. You can also access a digital and printable version below.

More Info on the December 28 Service

On Sunday, December 28, we will not be meeting in our building. Instead we will gather in our homes to participate together in an online service. This service has been specifically designed for in-home worship.

This service will include:

  • a look back at Sunday morning highlights
  • worship in song
  • a fun message for our FAC Kids from Pastor Tim and Hannah
  • a message from retired C&MA President John Stumbo
  • a resource guide providing questions for you to reflect on with others or in your own devotional time based on the sermon and service theme

We invite you to make plans to gather with a friend, group or family members to enjoy this service, although it is formatted so you can enjoy it as a time of solitude and reflection alone if you so choose.

We want to thank all of the FAC volunteer teams who have worked so hard to make this December a meaningful time of worship. It takes more than 90 volunteers every Sunday to open our doors to serve our FAC family from parking to greeting, FAC Kids through College Ministry and all of our groups and classes. We hope that this Sunday off site in homes gives our volunteers time to travel, rest and enjoy time together.

As the FAC staff will be serving in eight services over December 21, 23, and 24, this also gives them time to leave on Christmas Day to travel to see extended out-of-town family and return in time for preparations for our Sunday service on January 4 when we kick off our month of prayer!
