Care for each one by everyone
In the best and worst moments of our lives, we want to know we’re cared for. With belief in the priesthood of all believers, extending mercy just as we have received it, we invite you to practically demonstrate the love of Christ through the way you care for others (1 Peter 2:9-10). In a growing church, we believe everyday grassroots care happens best in growing groups, life groups, serving groups, and smaller communities in the life of our church.
At First Alliance, our organized congregational care offerings are here to serve you when you’re facing sensitive, ongoing, or critical needs in your life. We invite you to explore and participate in our Congregational Care Ministries. Together, may we passionately pursue Jesus and extend life-changing hope through the way we care for one another! Let us know how we can help, serve, or walk alongside you.

Counseling Referrals
We all experience times in our life when we need others to walk alongside us. Perhaps you’re ready to take the next step by seeking guidance and emotional and spiritual support though counseling. We would be happy to help connect you with a Christian counselor.
Visitation Needs
Homebound Visitation
If you or someone you love are at a stage in your life where you’re more home limited than you used to be, we’d love to visit with you through our Keeping in Touch (KIT) ministry. Our KIT volunteers rotate to make monthly visits, deliver small gifts, and pray with longtime members of our church community. We also offer at-home communion visits to those desiring to be served in this way. Even in your absence, we want you to remain a part of our church community!
Hospital Visitation
If you find yourself or a loved one within our FAC community in the hospital – and you’d like a pastoral care visit – we want to know about it. We have a hospital team ready to visit when you’re most in need.
Grief Support

GriefShare
Starts Thursday, February 19
GriefShare is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Over 13 weeks, you’ll find relief and comfort as you learn what to expect in the days ahead and how to navigate your personal grief process. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
Cost is $20; workbooks will be distributed at the first meeting. Please contact Kensi Duszynski if you have any questions.
Grief Books
If you’ve recently walked through the death of a loved one, we have resources we’d love to share with you. Contact Kensi Duszynski to receive a four-part series of grief support books published by Stephen Ministries. The books will be mailed to you throughout the first year of your loss.
Financial Support
Our benevolence fund exists to assist those within our church family at FAC who are experiencing impending financial hardship and needs. To be eligible you must be at least 18 years old and fully complete this application. Once your application has been reviewed by our benevolence committee, we will contact you regarding their decision. You may be asked to provide more information or meet in person to further discuss your situation.
Funeral Guide
If you would like to learn more about having a funeral, funeral meal, or reception at First Alliance, please refer to our Funeral Guide for detailed information. We desire to walk alongside you and serve you well through this time of loss. Please contact Deb MacKay with questions.
