We desire that every person who calls FAC their home church to be IN a group! While our Sunday morning UP corporate worship experience is a great piece of any disciple’s faith journey, it is essential be IN a smaller group where you can grow in your relationship with Christ, deepen your relationships with other believers, and encourage each other to be more like Jesus daily.
Our IN groups are numerous and varied in their aims, but primarily fall into two categories: Growing Groups and Serving Groups. It is our desire that you take part in one of each.
We want everyone plugged IN for growth, discipleship, care, and community!
Growing Groups

Serving Groups
Worship Team
If you are an instrumentalist or vocalist and are interested in serving as a part of the worship team, we would love to connect with you. Most worship team members are scheduled one week a month, which involves some personal preparation, a Wednesday night practice, and Sunday morning services. Contact Zeke Friedeman if you are interested.
Tech Team
It takes a lot of people to run our in-person and livestream services each Sunday. We provide training for all roles, so don’t let a lack of experience stop you from signing up. We currently need volunteers who are interested in:
- Audio: We need volunteers to run sound for our Sunday morning services. Our audio volunteer is responsible each week for both the sanctuary audio as well as what goes out to the broadcast on all platforms!
- Computer: If you have ever wanted to try your hand at running the graphics on the projectors, your help would be much appreciated! Minimal training is required, but it is an important position that requires concentration and timing.
- Director: We’d love to add a few members to the director team. This team both controls the camera angles and switches between the different cameras that are shown on the broadcast each Sunday. This a very active position and allows for those in our congregation not able to come in person to have a great online experience and also serves as a common way that people check out FAC before attending in person.
- Photography: If you have previous experience in photography or would like to learn, we’d love to have you join this team! We provide you with the camera, you just spend the morning taking pictures of different ministries and moments that take place. It’s a fun way to use your gifts and see all the different things that go on over the course of a Sunday.
Joining the Tech Team is a fun way to get plugged in behind the scenes and serve our church family. Contact Andrés Donahue if you’re interested in volunteering.
Guest Services Team
Guest Services is the first point of contact for new visitors to our church. We get to partner with what God is doing in people’s hearts and help define their experience at First Alliance. Whether it is serving a cup of coffee, giving a high five at the door, or directing a new family to the appropriate children’s areas, we have many volunteers loving our guests every Sunday.
So guess what? If you can smile or ask someone their name, you can join our team! We would love to expand our volunteers. High schoolers, college students, parents and kids, anyone is welcome to join the fun!
Current needs include:
- Ushers at 9:30am service
- Ushers at 11am service
- Parking attendants (who serve at both 9:30 and 11am services)
We give you all the tools and training you need for the job, and you choose which Sundays and times you serve. Contact Bethany Donahue to sign up. We look forward to serving with you!
