Weekly Prayer Gatherings

Lower Auditorium Room 12 will host prayer gatherings three times each week at the times listed below starting Monday, August 10. These times will be themed around what we are going through as a church on Sunday mornings and will be led by a member of the Prayer Team.

Mondays at 6:45pm
Wednesdays at 7:00am
Thursdays at 12:00pm

We are a community built on expectant prayer, boldly and unceasingly coming to the Father to advance His mission and Kingdom in the world. We believe prayer is the engine that moves us into all the Lord has prepared for us—welcoming the Spirit’s work in our church and stepping fully into the ongoing conversation with the Trinity. This is a time led by the Holy Spirit to intercede as a family for our church, city, and the world.

Service Time Change

This Sunday, our first service will move from 8:15 to 8:00am!

This adjustment creates a longer transition between services, improving parking and building flow while allowing our first service to experience the full worship gathering without needing to shorten elements. Most importantly, it gives those attending more time to linger, respond, and connect after worship without feeling rushed. We’re excited about the opportunities this will create for our church family.

Family Worship Sunday

This Sunday is Family Worship Sunday!

On Family Worship Sundays, we invite our Kindergarten through 12th grade students to join the greater First Alliance family for corporate worship and teaching together side-by-side. The Kindergarten through 12th grade classes will not be meeting this morning, but the Nursery and Preschool will still be open. Praise packs, full of resources designed to help our younger friends focus and participate with the sermon, will be available at the back of the Sanctuary. Tim Davis, our Pastor to Children and Families, will be preaching, and he will lead us through a time of prayer and consecration over the upcoming school year. We can’t wait to worship together with our intergenerational church family!

ESL Teacher Training

Have a heart for helping others? Interested in serving our community? Come to the ESL training to find out how you can get involved!

There is no obligation to serve if you attend the training. If you are interested in becoming an ESL teacher or helper, the only qualifications are speaking English and having availability once a week starting August 25. There are a variety of dates and times you can teach. You do not need to know another language to be a teacher.

Summer Prayer + Worship Night

Tuesday, 7:00-9:00pm

Our final Summer Prayer + Worship Night will be an opportunity to pray together, read scripture, sing, and listen to God’s voice without the time constraints of our normal Sunday morning rhythm.

As we prepare to celebrate our church’s 70th anniversary this fall, we’d love to hear your stories! Please share a favorite memory, meaningful moment, or special experience from your time at our church. Your story will be shared with the anniversary planning committee and may be included as part of our celebration. Thank you for helping us honor God’s faithfulness through the memories of our church family.

Saturday, August 8 at 9:00am

Enjoy a great breakfast with the men of FAC, along with a time of discussion, sharing, and prayer in the Dining Room. If you’re able, stay after for some work projects.

24 Hour Prayer

Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11

Sign up for one or more 30-minute time slots from 12:00pm on Monday, August 10 to 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 11 as we join with other churches in Central Kentucky to pray for our city. Pray individually, as a family, or with a small group either here at the church or from home. A prayer guide and journal will be available.

Young Professionals Thursday Night Meetings

Starting August 13 at 6:30pm

Our Young Professionals group is a community of post-school individuals, both single and married, in our 20s and 30s who are pursuing and learning together what it means to follow Jesus.

Come share a meal and fellowship, then spend time in the Word with one of our home groups.

Dinner with a Mission: Colombia 2026

Sunday, August 16, 6:00-7:30pm
Dining Room

A team of men from First Alliance Church is preparing for a mission trip to Colombia. During this special evening, we will share:

  • Why we believe God is calling us to Colombia
  • Information about the ministries and people we will be serving
  • What we hope to accomplish during the trip
  • Ways our church family can pray for, encourage, and support the team

The evening will include a free homemade spaghetti dinner. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge to attend, but advance registration is required so we can prepare enough food.

We hope you will join us for dinner, fellowship, and an opportunity to learn more about this mission and how you can be part of it.
