OUT Opportunity: Lexington Rescue Mission

Saturday, November 9 from 2:00 to 5:00pm

Lexington Rescue Mission has asked for our help as they look to complete the construction of their new location. We hope to take a large multi-generational team to focus on the two tasks below.

Build & Breakdown Team

This team will break down old display shelves and build new ones for the LRM Client Store. Wood will be delivered to LRM, and this team will need to bring proper tools to build out the new display shelves.

Display Team

This team will take items from the current LRM Client Store location to the new location. This task is family friendly, allowing kids as young as 6 years old to live on mission with a parent. As items make it to the new client store location, we will restock the new shelves that were built.

Connections Breakfast

Sunday, November 10 at 11:00am

If you are newer to First Alliance, we would love to have you at our Connections Breakfast!

This event will be hosted in the Gym at 11:00am (during our third service). You will meet some of our pastoral staff, hear about our church, enjoy a light breakfast, and find out ways we can serve you.

Please reach out to our Guest Services Coordinator Cecily Vinegar with any questions. We can’t wait to see you there!

24 Hour Prayer

Monday, November 11 and Tuesday, November 12

Sign up for one or more 30-minute time slots from 12:00pm on Monday to 12:00pm on Tuesday as we join with other churches in Central Kentucky to pray for our city. Pray individually, as a family, or with a small group either here at the church or from home. A prayer guide and journal will be available.

As a church, we value and champion expectant prayer. Join us in this important work!

Here, There, and Everywhere Offering

Sunday, November 17

As a part of our stewardship rhythms, we take a special offering during the Thanksgiving season known as the Here, There, and Everywhere Offering. This year’s fund will be invested in:

  • Here: Our leaders and high school students who will be attending the C&MA Life Conference
  • There: Our local partners
  • Everywhere: Alliance Missions, including the Great Commission Fund (GCF), Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA), and support directed to the Alliance International Workers with whom we partner.

We’ll be presenting our offerings to the Lord during services on November 17. The online fund will be open until January 5, 2025.
