Sermon Reflection Questions
- Jesus calls you to be a follower, not a fair-weather fan. What does the call to follow Jesus mean to you? Is this a call you heard a while ago that’s long faded away, or is it something that you still hear afresh every day?
- Jesus calls you away from image management toward a life truly surrendered to Him. What is one part of your “image,” public or private, that you’d rather edit than surrender to Him? What helps you to re-center your life on Him?
- Following Jesus is paradoxical: Hang on to your life and you’ll lose it; but lose your life for His sake and you’ll save it. What are some of the concrete ways you’ve chosen God’s way rather than your own, only to experience a more abundant life in return?

Romans 12:1-2
Prayer: God, renew my mind. Change not only what I do, but the way I think, desire, and see the world. Help me discern what is good, pleasing, and true.
Colossians 3:1-10
Prayer: Jesus, help me recognize the old patterns I continue to carry. Give me courage to put them off and to live from the new identity you have given me.
Titus 3:3-7
Prayer: Father, remind me that my transformation begins with your mercy, not my effort. Thank you for saving me and making me new through your Spirit.
1 Peter 1:13-16
Prayer: Holy Spirit, give me clarity about the desires that still pull me backward. Teach me to set my hope fully on Christ and to become holy in every part of my life.
Philippians 3:12-14
Prayer: God, keep me from being defined by my past, whether my failures or my successes. Give me the grace to keep moving toward Christ and becoming who you have called me to be.
Ezekiel 36:25-27
Prayer: Lord, I cannot manufacture a new heart. Do in me what I cannot do for myself. Give me a heart that desires you and a spirit that follows your ways.
