Connector – February 1

Important Weather Info

Due to the conditions on Old Higbee Mill Road and for the safety of our volunteer teams, we will have only three services this Sunday at 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30.

We urge caution as you travel. We have done our best to clear our parking lot of snow and ice, yet some areas remain slick. We encourage carpooling and attending the 12:30 service if you can.

We will continue our series House of Prayer and will livestream as always at 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30.

In the event of inclement weather, we will alert you to any service delays or cancellations through email, text message, our website, and Facebook.

To sign up for text message alerts, text UPDATES to (859) 251-3944 or click here.

Christ & Culture: Navigating the Crisis of Our Civilization

Starting Sunday, February 8 at 11:00am
High School Room

The start of this class has been delayed by one week and will meet during the 11:00 service starting next Sunday.

This nine-week series with Pastor Eliseo Mejia is designed to explore how our cultural moment engages with the biblical roots of culture and to diagnose the deepest societal crises of our time. We will look at how Christ offers a robust response through the Kingdom of God, calling the Church to be a healing presence in a fractured world.

Additionally, through spiritual formation and practical mission, we, as followers of Jesus, learn to live as a faithful counterculture. Ultimately, this journey invites us to enjoy new cultural environments with Christ at its core—full of hope beyond the crisis.

First Alliance Church is excited to be an official host site for the 2026 No Regrets Men’s Conference, a global gathering of men seeking deeper faith, stronger character, and courageous leadership in every sphere of life.

This year’s theme is Surrender, based on Romans 12:1, calling men to offer their whole lives to God and live with bold, Christ-centered purpose.

Join thousands of men across the world for a day designed to challenge, equip, and inspire you to follow Jesus without hesitation and with no regrets.

The $20 registration fee includes a homemade breakfast, lunch from Chick-fil-A, and all conference materials.

Announcements

A note from Jeff Miller, District Superintendent

We want to thank FAC for fully providing a 20-passenger minibus to your sister church here in Lexington. Revival and Reconciliation Church ministers largely to the African immigrant and refugee population here in Lexington. I am so encouraged as I see the faith and generosity and passion of God’s people at FAC to partner to reach all the world with the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
