Together we are believing for God’s miraculous intervention in every aspect of the lives and institutions in our city and beyond!
Psalm 27:13-14, “I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!”
Pause
Invite the Holy Spirit to quiet your heart and your mind. Take 4 deep, cleansing breaths. After you still yourself take time walking through this prayer slowly from Psalm 51 about transformation in the Kingdom.
“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
Praise
What specific blessings and gifts are you praising Him for today?
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Prepare
Lord, I am here before you now wholeheartedly, as an instrument of intercession. Insofar as I am also here before you now half heartedly, fuel the fire of my desire. Do whatever it takes to renew in me, an all consuming passion for your name and love for your people. Lord Jesus, open my eyes to receive you. Holy Spirit, soften my heart to receive you. Father God grant me faith to believe that when I pray, you hear and draw near with a compassionate heart. Amen. (Abridged from Lectio 365)
