Tips for Easter Sunday

Easter is just around the corner! Here are some practical tips to help make it a great Sunday for you and your family.

  • Come early! Allow plenty of time to park and find a seat in the service!
  • If you’re volunteering, park in the back lot! This will help us provide a better experience for guests on this special day.
  • Join us at 7:00 (Sunrise Service), 8:15, or 12:30 if you’re able! This will allow more space for visitors and guests at our 9:30 and 11:00 services. We will also have multiple overflow spaces ready.
  • The Sunrise Service will be held outside if weather permits. Dress accordingly!
  • If the Sunrise Service is moved indoors, it will be in the Atrium. Guests arriving for the 8:15 service will need to enter the Sanctuary directly using the door to the left of the main entrance. Follow the signs and directions of the Guest Service team!
  • Coffee will be served at special locations! Coffee tents will be outside at the front and back of the building if weather permits; otherwise, they will be located just inside the doors.
  • We will have photo backdrops for family pictures! One will be located outside the Sanctuary, and the other will be in the Lower Atrium.
  • As always, please follow the directions of our Parking Team and the signage in the parking lot. We anticipate our lot will be quite full on Easter, but the Parking Team will help find a spot for everyone with safety in mind!
  • Adult Education, High School, Middle School, and Elementary age ministries will not meet. See below for childcare information.

Childcare

FAC Kids will be open for birth through Kindergarten age children during the 8:15, 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30 services. 1st graders and above will attend service with their families!

If you have birth through Kindergarten age children visiting with you on Easter, please give us their information early to make check in easier when you arrive! After filling out this form, you’ll be able to head straight to a self check-in station to check in your children for the morning.

Easter Sunday

April 5

Easter will be back at Old Higbee Mill this year, with a sunrise service at 7:00am in addition to our normal service times. All services will be for the whole family! FAC Kids programming will be available for children birth through kindergarten only, and no other classes or ministries will meet.

Saturday Prayer Walk

April 4 at 2:00pm

This will be a focused time of prayer for our church and city as we prepare for Easter Sunday. We will meet in the Sanctuary.

Maundy Thursday Service

April 2 at 7:00pm

Our Maundy Thursday service will be held in the Sanctuary on April 2 at 7:00pm. We will worship by candlelight, remember the final hours of Jesus’ life, and share communion together.

Baptism Sunday

April 12

We will celebrate Baptism Sunday the week after Easter on April 12. If you have been thinking about getting baptized or are ready to take the next step in following Jesus, let us know!
