Preparing for this Sunday

Join us for one of our services this Sunday at 8:30, 10:00, or 11:30am in-person or online as we continue our Standing Firm in Fragile Times sermon series. This week’s sermon title is Invisible, Invincible God, and the main Scripture passage will be the book of Esther. If you missed the first two sermons in the series, we highly recommend taking time to listen.

Click here to register for one of our in-person services. If you haven’t seen it, make sure you check out our Welcome Home video to see what to expect when you return.

Nursery, preschool, and grades 1-4 meet during the 10:00am service. Middle and high school ministries meet at 10:00 and 11:30am. Go here to register for these services. If you are registering students, we recommend that you register them for their group first and then register for the main service.

We will be joining together for worship with those at home by livestreaming all three of our services on faclex.tv. You can visit our website and click on the faclex.tv button, or you can type faclex.tv into your browser and go.

If you aren’t able to watch a service live, visit the Weekly Services section of our website to watch anytime after 1pm on Sunday.

Due to the Governor’s executive order, we ask that everyone wear masks to all three of our Sunday services. Thank you!

Vertical: Monthly Prayer Night This Monday

Prayer Night is this Monday, October 5. It will be held in-person in the Sanctuary from 6:45–7:45pm. There is no need to register if you plan to come. We will be taking time to pray over the prayer wall of cards submitted by our church family as well as other needs.

We will be using the same safety standards as we do on Sunday morning for our services:

  • The Atrium will be closed for visiting and any conversations will need to happen in the parking lot.
  • The seating will be set like Sunday morning (socially distanced) and we ask that you sit with members of your household only.
  • Masks are mandatory. There will be hygiene stations with hand sanitizer and masks for you if you need one.

We will not be livestreaming this event, as attendees praying from their seats would not be audible for those at home. If you are unable to join us in person, please take some time to pray from home!

Serve with Next Gen Ministries

We are so excited to have reopened our Next Gen spaces! We continue to be in need of a preschool teacher and middle school small group leaders. Please take some time to prayerfully consider serving with our kids and students. Let us know if you are interested in serving with us or would like more information. You can also connect with one of our Next Gen pastors after services on a Sunday morning.

Ohio Valley District Women’s Focus Gathering

Ladies, you will not want to miss this special opportunity on October 24 from 9:30-10:30am. We will be gathering virtually to encourage one another and hear a timely message from our own Susan Scott on Freedom from Fear. Go here to register or to learn more about the event.

New Men’s Small Groups: Reframing the Faith

It’s not too late! Join us for our men’s small group offering called “Reframing the Faith.” This offering has as its goal to get men to think through some of their deeply held beliefs regarding their identity, the Gospel, God’s character, and whether or not they are truly experiencing freedom in Christ. We explore these topics in a large group setting and then break into smaller groups to answer questions aimed at getting you to share where you are at on these issues. This is a Zoom-based study on Mondays at 8:00pm, with each weekly session lasting an hour. Contact T Wright if you are interested.

Women’s Ministry Hygiene Drive for Natalie’s Sisters

We are collecting hygiene items for Natalie’s Sisters. The only items that are needed are:

  • Travel size deodorant (desperately needed)
  • 15 count wipes (desperately needed)
  • Washcloths
  • Travel size lotion
  • Travel size conditioner

Items can be dropped off in the container at the gym-side entrance Monday through Saturday or in the container at the Atrium OUT display on Sundays.

Light Through Leggings

Ladies, let’s join together in providing gently used leggings for our sisters at Natalie’s Sisters. Please drop them off in the container at the gym-side entrance Monday through Saturday or in the container at the Atrium OUT display on Sundays.

Cleaning Team Needs

We are in need of more people to serve on our cleaning teams! These teams work quickly and efficiently on Sunday mornings keeping our sanctuary ready for each service. If you would be willing to join the team on Sunday mornings during and after a service please go to our website and let us know. We will be in touch with you to find the Sundays and service time that works best for you.

Voter Registration Reminder

If you have moved recently or are not registered to vote, the deadline to register is October 5. You can register in person at your county clerk’s office, by mail, or online. As the election nears, let’s continue to pray for our nation.

Next Gen Extras

We have praise packs available on Sunday mornings for kids who are attending in-person main services to help them stay engaged. Be sure to grab them on your way into the sanctuary.

We also have a playlist of our Sunday worship songs available on Spotify so you can teach your kids the songs in advance.

Keep up with FAC Kids, Middle School Ministry, and FAC Youth on our website and on Sunday afternoons on faclex.tv. We want to support you in helping your kids stay connected during this season.
