Living OUT

Hey First Alliance!

We are so grateful for how you have been praying for and participating in our movement of OUT during this season. Though things have continually changed pertaining to pace and strategy, we keep listening to the Lord and pick obedience as we love on and reach out city.

During this season, we continue to see how God is moving through tangible actions of love and care. We have continued to encourage and feed medical professionals and have seen folks that received cards from FAC or a meal come and check out one of our Sunday gatherings! Along with loving our medical professionals, we have had the joy of partnering with Natalie’s Sisters and are stepping in to provide more meals in September. Not only are we loving our teammates in our city but are seeing new and creative Gospel engagement around the Globe. Whether it is our friends in Tunisia, Kurdistan, or Peru…the Gospel is advancing and First Alliance gets a front row seat in cheering them on!

With all that God is creating out in front of us and inviting us to partner with Him in, I have personally been grateful for a new teammate! Maria Darby has been on FAC staff for a little while in her role of caring for our guests and creating a welcoming and hospitable environment. Our church is now blessed by Maria not only championing guest services but really serving alongside me as a teammate in OUT! Take a look at her video on some practical ways your church is loving our city…

Remembering Bob Chick with TransWorld Radio

Bob Chick, survived by Beth and children, went to be with the Lord on August 25th. Bob Chick attended First Alliance during his time at Asbury Theological seminary before serving approximately 37 years with Trans World Radio. TWR described Bob as “a force to be reckoned with. He was a husband, father, grandfather, lifelong missionary, pastor, musician, and computer geek-in-one.”

We are grateful for Bob’s partnership in God mission while he attended her and during his time broadcasting for this Gospel-Centric radio station. Please be praying for the Chick family during this time.
