Living OUT During Covid-19

Dear First Alliance family,

We miss you! We are so grateful for you as you have stayed engaged and invested during this season. We have seen some really wonderful Kingdom things occur during this season and we want to continue to stay in step with what God is doing in our community and our city. We have seen hospitals and schools impacted, individuals loving their neighbors in new ways, and great time with family while staying at home. Along with what God is doing around us at FAC, we are seeing God move in and through our international partners and workers (missionaries) around the globe. Technology like Zoom and a new flexibility in schedule has offered us time to connect with many missionaries during this time.

We are grateful to partner with God on His mission here, there, and everywhere. A specific gift this season has been partnering with you, First Alliance family, in declaring His love for all the world starting here where we are placed, whether it’s Wilmore, Nicholasville, Versailles, Lexington, or another town nearby. As we continue to partner together in moving OUT towards the world in mission, here is a way you can practically serve…

“DRIVE BY, DROP OFF” FOOD DRIVE- THIS WEDNESDAY, THE 6TH, FROM 1-5PM

We will be hosting our 4th food drive to support Wellington and Booker T elementary schools. We have the unique opportunity now to collaborate with one of our sister churches, New City Church, which met regularly on the north-side of town near two of our current local partners. We will be ready for your donations this coming Wednesday from 1-5pm on the “apartment side” of our church. You can drive up and even stay in your car! If you would like to stay in, please place your food in your trunk and just open it up and our team will collect the items. Here are the needed items for this coming food drive…

  • Frozen vegetables
  • Frozen chicken nuggets
  • Frozen pizzas
  • Bread
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Breakfast Foods
  • Fresh fruit (if available)
  • Snack food
  • Activities for kids: board games, craft supplies, etc.
  • Hygiene supplies

Also, if you are willing to participate, we will shoot short video responses again, testifying to God’s glory and goodness during this season. We have captured lots of wonderful stories but do not want to miss any so if you are willing, come prepared to share and make much of Jesus in this season!

Please also join us for this months…

Prayer Night, tonight at 6:45pm on Facebook Live

Please join Pastor Paul and some of the pastoral staff this evening for our monthly prayer meeting held virtually through Facebook Live. We will start at 6:45pm and go for about an hour. If you cannot join us on Facebook Live, this will be posted on our website after we finish.

Please download and utilize “volume 2” of our FAC Prayer guide as a prompt for our prayer night and a resource for you for this coming month. We hope it serves you in your time with the Lord and interceding for your church family.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and participation during this unique season. The First Alliance staff and I are so grateful for you all and miss you!

Grateful,
Zach
