Get connected into community
Here at First Alliance, we believe it is essential to go from the big Sunday morning group into a smaller group. Because of this, we offer mid-sized Sunday morning and weekday groups, and we offer smaller Life Groups all throughout the week. We start our groups on a quarter system, meaning that new groups start up 4 times a year. This allows you to commit to a group for about 10 weeks at a time.
Groups allow you to know people and be known, to care for others and be cared for, and to grow in God’s Word. Check out the links below of an overview of all of our groups’ ministries. If you have a question on the best way for you to connect, please contact us!
Our Life Groups meet in homes all throughout the week all over Lexington area. We currently have 24 Life Groups meeting this quarter! If you’d like to get connected into a Life Group, contact Heather Smith.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
6:30–7:30am, Founders Dining Room
This is a small group informal study time, covering various topics of interest to the group. We generally read through and discuss a passage, share what is going on in our lives, and pray for one another. We meet early and leave early for those with a busy work day ahead. No preparation is required.
Thursday Morning Bible Study
6:30–7:30am, Founders Dining Room
The purpose of this group is to encourage men to mature in their faith. This loosely structured meeting will rely on selected topics related to discipleship as well as the quality of the interaction among the participants to call each man deeper in his spiritual journey. Topics will include the call to discipleship, the meaning of true repentance, the call to obey, the need for humility, and the role of suffering in the life of the believer. If you desire to be challenged to go deeper with God and other men or you want to encourage and be encouraged in community with other men, you have found the right place. This group is open to men of all ages and stages of spiritual maturity.
Evening Bible Studies
Wednesday and Thursday evenings
6:30–8:30pm, Room 203/204
These are larger groups that meet for accountability, community, Biblical study and mutual encouragement. Prayer needs are carried by the group and answers celebrated. We use a video series by a nationally known speaker to start each session, then break up into smaller groups for discussion. Some preparation and review each week is expected. The same material is covered on Wednesday and Thursday, so choose which evening works best for you.
