Goals & Vision
Our Signature Statement
"Working together to seek, reach, and then build fully devoted followers of Jesus"
The fulfillment of this is expressed in the following priorities:
Reaching
We are determined to reach out to people who yet remain outside of God's saving love in Christ Jesus. (Romans 10:14)
Building
We will build fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, cultivating the Christian life skill sets that will produce true, Christian spirituality in the lives of our people. (I Cor. 2:9-16)
Serving
We will nurture a church that serves and cares for the people within the sphere of our influence. (Galations 6:2)
Sending
We will produce faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who understand and take responsibility for the world wide scope of evangelism and discipleship that is express in the Great Commission. (Matt. 24:14)
Praising
We will commit ourselves to build a community of faith that enters whole heartedly into the worship of God. (John 4:24)
Our Ministry Goals
Reaching:

Offer one Adult Class on evangelism training.

Explore the development of a Chinese Alpha Group to run concurrent with our regular Alpha course.

Develop standardized follow up materials for new believers.
Building:
-
Offer a spiritual formation weekend for deepening the Christian walk of people.

Develop and prepare a strategic CE plan youth for the next three years.

Offer three assimilation events for new attendees.

Develop a curriculum strategy for Adult CE and Life Groups that will take us to the fall of 2011.
Serving:

Train, certify and deploy 12 new lay shepherds.

Do one home visit for every household in the church family focused on prayer and spiritual care. (To be accomplished by elders, lay shepherds, and pastoral staff.) scheduled for Spring ’10.
Sending:
-
Identify and update our pool of missions candidates.

Conduct at least one mission/outreach opportunity that was accessible to anyone from within the church family.

Renew the data base for cultivating, nurturing and tracking our emergent missionary candidates.

Rebuild the missions task force team.
Praising:

Train and develop two new worship leaders to help with pending attrition of same.

Upgrade the systematic training, scheduling and deployment of tech support people.

Establish a pool of featured worship soloists or teams and schedule same on a regular basis.
Long Range Goals:
-
Evaluate the current prayer ministries of the church and then integrate all the prayer pieces of the church into a comprehensive, sustainable, prayer ministry platform that supports church life and ministry.

Initiate our next church plant through profiling the intention, pooling those interested, establishing a leadership team, and time lining and promoting a projected first meeting date.

Prepare the structure and composition of staff for the season following the retirement of Sam Strader and the appointment of the Browns to the mission field in ’12.

Prepare and position the church for Pastor Steve's sabbatical in 2011.
